Bartow Police Explorer Honor Guard members (from left) Ricky Krzyzaiak, Taylor Patterson, Dalton Lyon and Justin Regali took part in the Explorer Ride-Along Academy and Explorer Competition this summer. Sixty-three Explorers from the Lake Wales, Winter Haven, Haines City, Lakeland and Bartow police departments and the Hardee County and Polk County sheriff’s offices attended the 40-hour academy. Explorers received training in domestic violence, crisis intervention, telecommunications, firearms, officer safety, courtroom testimony and first aid.
Bartow Police Department Explorers participated in the annual Explorer Ride-Along Academy hosted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office this summer and brought back awards from the annual Explorers competition.
