"You can do what you want/Lay offa my blue suede shoes," sings Elvis (John McDade) to Beatrice Edwards. Making sure she doesn't lose her balance is Annie Stephens, part of the Elvis entourage.

Elvis impersonator John McDade, of Lakeland, was the guest performer at the Rohr Home, a nursing home facility run by Polk County. The occasion was the home's annual sock hop.
The guest artist at this year’s annual Rohr Home sock hop was none other than the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley; well, actually, it was Elvis impersonator John McDade. Had it been the real Elvis (were he still alive), it is possible Presley would have been a resident, not the star attraction.
No matter, said Pamela Jones, the activities director at Rohr. Everyone present had a blast (from the past).
