Brownfield study mostly positive
Most the news was good regarding the Phase Two brownfield study A-C-T conducted at the request of the Bartow Airport Authority for land area No. 502 at the Bartow Airport Authority industrial park. The building used to house Florida Aircraft Painting and was now being considered by Phil McCoy of McCoy Marketing Services; the latter wants to use the site to build airplanes.
According to Floy Graves, Manager of Environmental Site Assessments at A-C-T. Chemical reports received earlier that day showed that while there was evidence diesel fuel had been deposited into the soil in the past, but the levels were low.
