Kaylee Troxler shows Bob, a cookie she made Thursday during the Cookie Day event at the Bartow Public Library. Bob doesn't have a last name because "he's just a cookie," she said, but he was tasty. In front of her is Markita Sams making a cookie herself.

Tasha Troxler was proud of her making of Fin. She said she came up with the name Fin for her cookie because he has a "round face that makes him look like a freak." Children spent time at the Bartow Public Library Thursday afternoon during Cookie Day where they made coffee, hot chocolate and enjoyed seeing and eating theirs and other's creations.

Our Food For Fines box has already been filled twice since we began. Let’s keep up the wonderful success.
If you have pre-existing or new fines on your card from now until Dec. 22, you may bring in one canned good or non-perishable item per $1 and have your fines waived. This cannot be used towards lost items.
