The Lake Placid Noon Rotary Club presented a $1,000 scholarship Thursday to Alexia Salazar, a 2012 Lake Placid High School graduate. She graduated 10th in her class with a GPA of 4.88.

A member of the National Honor Society, Salazar was on the honor roll since the sixth grade, a member of Interact, Student Government and Key Club. She played soccer for the Lady Dragons and was voted defensive player of the year for the junior varsity team.
