The Polk Transportation Planning Organization was presented with two Awards of Merit at the 2013 Heart of Florida American Planning Association’s meeting.

The TPO received an Award of Merit in the category of Master Planning and Urban Design for its implementation of a Complete Streets program and the Jan Johnson Public Involvement Award for its participation in helping create the MyRide public transit initiative.
