When the Advanced Technology Center plans to open in January, the branch of Polk State College will be unusual in some senses.

“There will be no classrooms with talking heads,” Rob Clancey, the director of Corporate College, told members of the Committee of 100 of the Bartow Chamber of Commerce Friday. “It’s not the way it’s done anymore.”
