The spectre the Youth Fair might eventually relocate elsewhere other than Bartow and the W.E. Stuart Building, which serves as the annual event’s current site, concerned not only City Manager George Long, but also City of Bartow Commissioners.

It dominated much of the work session, addressed and discussed at length as it was Monday, Feb. 18. As Long pointed out, it was not a simple matter, and in light of recently made comments by Polk County Commissioner Chairwoman Melony Bell, several issues existed. However, Long said some of what faces the Youth Fair was currently being examined and that some progress had been made.
