‘Growing Seasons’ may foster growth

In a move to have Bartow strive in a new direction, the first public statue was placed Friday in Fort Blount Park as 50 people attended the ceremony.
The statue, which was donated to the community in a combined effort from the Crickette, Rotary and Kiwanis clubs is part of a plan to place statues throughout the city to not only help decorate it, but attract people from outside to the help the city’s economy.
