Local historian shines spotlight on Bartow

Lloyd Harris, Polk County HIstorical Commisioner and board member for The Polk County Historical Association, has assembled a pictorial history and narrative of Bartow, which comes out March 18. The book will be on sale at Bartow Christian Books and Gifts, and Harris will be at the store March 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a book-signing.

When people move to Bartow, they tend to stay here.

Some residents are fourth generation Bartowans, but both newcomers and old-timers are bound to enjoy a pictorial history of the city coming out March 18, produced by local historian William Lloyd Harris, — better known as Lloyd.
