Even though Polk State College has been providing industrial training or many years, the focus soon will be shifted to the new Clear Sprigs Advanced Technology Center on State Road 60 just east of Bartow.

Rob Clancey, Director of the Polk State Corporate College, told Bartow Rotarians Wednesday the new campus should be open for business in December. He said the multimillion dollar campus, $15 million to be exact, will be home to an initial 47,000-square-foot building that will house a teaching auditorium, four advanced technology labs, six interactive classrooms, a computer lab, multipurpose conference rooms and a student services area.
