Thirteen students from Polk County will embark next week on the adventure of a lifetime, visiting the Netherlands and Paris, France and staying with the families of students who came here from Oisterwijk, the Netherlands, in October.
According to one of the chaperones, Bartow High School history teacher Ted Wright, the group will visit the Van Gogh museum and Ann Frank’s house, as well as making day trips to windmills and wooden shoe (clog) factories. They will also visit The Hague, a town dedicated to international peace and justice going back to the first Peace Conferences of 1899 and 1907.
