Food metaphors were used to describe what Bartow residents are trying to do bring together people of different races and backgrounds when about 75 people came together Tuesday.
Culture, Cuisine and Conversation was held at the Bartow Public Library Tuesday, and the room was split about evenly with black people, white people and Hispanics listening to a panel of three people and asking questions. People act in one way of making Bartow a town in need of one goal — bettering the community — but separation still exists, was the consensus.
