Empty shelves are not a good thing. Especially as the holidays approach, according to those who operate Bartow’s Church Service Center.
“We’re launching our holiday campaign and need all the donations we can get,” said CSC Executive Director Rusty Music. He and program manager Tammy Patrick pointed out rows of empty shelves that need filling so the center can provide Thanksgiving meals to 150 Bartow area needy families and repeat the process for 250 families at Christmas. The Christmas baskets typically cost from $150 to $250 per family depending the number of family members.
