Four Bartow schools were recognized in a ceremony that awarded Shining Stars Monday, Sept. 24.

The Polk County School System awarded a Gold Star to Spessard Holland Elementary. It awarded a Silver Star to Bartow Elementary Academy. It awarded Bronze stars to Floral Avenue Elementary and Bartow High School.
