Polk County Public Schools made the AP District Honor Roll for the second year in a row, making Polk the only School District in Florida to receive the award multiple times in successive years.

Each year, the College Board awards the AP District Honor Roll to Districts that have simultaneously increased access to Advanced Placement course work and increased its percentage of students earning the AP exam scores required to pass (3 or higher). It allows high school students to take course work that mirrors studies taken at the college-level and allows students to earn college credit, advanced placement credit or both.
