Summer fun at the library is coming to an end. This will be the last week for the Summer Reading Program. Children’s chances to submit their reading log for a certificate to attend our Ice-Cream Social will end on Wednesday, July 31. It is not too late to finish. Get some reading done this weekend and then bring that reading log in next week. The Ice-Cream Social is at 2 p.m. Aug. 2.
Story times will be taking a break after this week, so stop by to see Melissa one last time. The 3-5 year olds meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday and features stories, finger plays, music and films. The 6-8 year olds meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday and it features stories, music, games, crafts and films. The 18 month-2 year olds meet at 10 a.m. Thursday and it features nursery rhymes, finger plays, music and bubbles.
The eighth and final Super Summer Show of 2013 will be Rick Martin’s Tricky Dogs. These hilarious and adorable dogs are back by popular demand. It is a circus style comedy dog act featuring Bingo, Cricket, Minnie, Peewee, Twinkie, and Ziggy. These dogs really are amazing and you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy. So if you’re a parent with kids or just a big kid at heart, join us at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday as we end our wonderful summer programs on a high note. As always, we want to be sure to extend a big thank you to the Friends of the Library for their generous support. We could not do what we have without their help.
Kids can get 100 points for Gryffindor. We are celebrating Harry Potter’s birthday on Thursday. This party is for teens grades 6-12. Drink some butter beer, play indoor Quidditch and create your own fantastic beast. Wizards may begin arriving at 3 p.m.
