Mrs. Nancy Coryell Rhoden, 69, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in Lake Wales due to heart failure.
Mrs. Rhoden was born July 20, 1943, in Tampa, Fla., and has been a long-time resident of Fort Meade.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and a member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church, Fort Meade.
Mrs. Rhoden, along with her husband, owned Rhoden Enterprises producing and selling fishing lures worldwide. She and her husband also formerly owned the Eager Bait Co. in Bartow.
Mrs. Rhoden was preceded in death by her son, Keith Russell Rhoden.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis C. (Lew) Rhoden, Fort Meade; sons, Lewis S. Rhoden, Arnold H. Rhoden, III, and Ronald L. Rhoden, all of Fort Meade; daughter, Linda Michelle McCafferty, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; brother, Rev. Allen Coryell, Brandon, Fla.; sister, Sandy Gout, Tampa, Fla.; sister in law, Frances Coryel, Brandon, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the Lake Buffum Baptist Church, Fort Meade with Rev. Kenny Slay officiating.
Interment: Lake Buffum Cemetery.
Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade, is in charge of arrangements.
