Elaine Puckett Lancaster

Elaine Puckett Lancaster, 65, passed away from heart failure Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in Bartow.

Born
June 4, 1947, in Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of Paul and the late Martha Puckett.

Mrs. Lancaster was a longtime member and organist of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. She was also a member of the Bartow Lioness Club.

Mrs. Lancaster worked as an administrative assistant for the Polk County Board of Commissioners.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister,
Beth Puckett.

Mrs. Lancster is survived by her son, William Todd Cowart of Bartow; her father, Rev. Paul E. Puckett of Bartow; her brother, Paul E. “Pepper” Puckett, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.

Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St., Bartow, where the family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 7 from 2-4 p.m.

Funeral services follow Monday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bartow, 410 E. Church St., Bartow.

Memorial contribution can be made to the First Baptist Church of Bartow Music Department.
