Judy Gail Willis, 64, passed away from cancer Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at home in Bartow.

Born Jan. 20, 1948, in Ironton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Bessie Mays.

Willis was a Baptist and had worked as an executive secretary for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for
19 years before retiring.

She is survived by her husband of
44 years, Larry D. Willis, of Bartow; two sons, Matthew Todd Willis (Heather) of Madisonville, Tenn., Ryan Nicholas Willis of Bartow; and her grandchildren, Joshua Matthew Willis of Orlando, Stephanie Miller, and Chance Matthew Willis, both of Madisonville, Tenn. She also leaves behind four brothers, Lewis Buford Mays (Ruie) of Flatwoods, Kent., Allen Mays (Linda) of Ironton, Ohio, Estell W. Mays (Karen) of Ironton, Ohio, David L. Mays (Edythe) of South Point, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Geraldine Allen of South Point, Ohio, and 16 nephews and eight nieces.

Visitation: Friday, Oct. 19 from
6-8 p.m. at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home chapel.

Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home chapel.

Interment: Ironton, Ohio, care of Tracy Brammer Funeral Home in Ironton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church Service Center, 495 E. Summerlin St., Bartow, FL 33830.
