A 30-year-old Bartow resident was booked into the Polk County Jail Saturday for making methamphetamine and a pipe bomb in a house he shared with his mother, the Bartow Police Department reports.

Robert Cannaday was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of listed chemicals, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for drug manufacture, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of making a destructive device, the police department reported.
