What began as an argument between Rodney White and Christopher McNeal over a relationship with an unnamed female soon led to an attempt on White’s life, Bartow police reported.

The verbal confrontation between the two occurred late Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Azalea Gardens apartment complex at 1050 S. Golfview Ave.
Once the argument ended the two men went in separate directions, police said.
