Heartland Crime Stoppers is credited with helping reduce crime in Polk County by nearly 60 percent.

It is one of 350 local programs in the United States celebrating Crime Stoppers Month in September. Along with programs in 26 countries around the world, Crime Stoppers’ goal is to resolve crime through anonymous tips.
