For those who want to help children with special needs, a golf tournament coming up may be for you.
The Achievement Academy’s 13th Annual “Chip-In” For Children Golf Tournament is set Friday, Oct. 12 at Lone Palm Golf Club, 800 Lone Palm Drive in Lakeland.
Registration begins at 11:30 am with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Through tournament play, sponsorship, and item donations, funds are raised to help children with special needs to receive the vital services they need to make progress.
Lunch will be provided by local restaurant vendors: Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, GrillSmith and Lone Palm Golf Club.
The grand prize for a hole-in-one is a 2013 Cadillac ATS sponsored by Cannon Automotive Group.
