Paul Northrop, sales manager for The Polk County Democrat, said that if he sank this 30-foot putt that all the advertising in the next edition would be free. Unfortunately, he missed. But only by less than an inch. Honest! You'll have to take our word for it.

Paula Morton, left, and Barbara Adamson were busy selling various tickets, among them door prize tickets, as well as mulligans and other features. "The best deal of the day has been the player game bag," said Morton. "You get three mulligans, a hole-in-one prize and five door prizes." All it cost was $20.

Golfers beware! Not only has this duffer bagged a deer and a gopher, you see all those golf gloves? Those belonged to other golfers. Care to learn what happened to them? No, you don't want to.
