The Lakeland Jr. Bassmasters launched 25 boats from Lake Shipp earlier this month.

Roger Weigel won the 11-14 year old division with 16.86 pounds, anchored by his 4.83 pound big bass, while Luke Ferguson took the 15-18 year old division with 17.92 pounds, and Kyle Stafford had the 6.6 pound big bass of the day.

With only five fish over four pounds, small fish led to small bags overall in the Shuffle on Shipp.

Following are the results:

11-14 year olds: first Roger Weigel, 16.86 lbs, big bass of 4.83 pounds; second Connor Price, 7.48 pounds; third Kyle Sheffield, 7.43 pounds; fourth Jackson Williams, 6.21 pounds; fifth Logan Blagg, 5.89 lbs.

15-18 year olds: first Luke Ferguson, 17.92 pounds; second Danny Lake, 13.11 pounds; third Kyle Stafford, 6.6 pounds, big bass, 6.6 pounds; fourth Chris Kinker, 5.78 pounds; fifth Harry Linsinbigler, 5.34 pounds.

Bobby Lane Cup

The Reel Kids

The Reel Kids — ages 4-12 — of Polk County fished recently at Camp Mack, with four tickets to LegoLand at stake.

The first winner at the 12:30 p.m. weigh-in was Riley Harrison. She won fishing tackle, plus a certificate signed by Bobby Lane, a pro angler in the Bassmaster Elite Series.

Here are the tournament results: 6 and younger, Micah LaBarbera; 7-9, Jackson Weeks; 10-12, Jeremiah Mobley.

Micah won four tickets to Legoland and more fishing tackle.

Other participants were Alexa Lane, Dalton Van dam, John Sullivan and Shane Schumber. They also get a rod and reel plus more fishing tackle.
