Four months after Todd Morgan Beamer was killed on United Airlines Flight 93 after he and others hijacked it back from terrorists and it crashed in Shanksville, Pa., his daughter was born. Col. Jim Fogle-Miller recalled this on Patriot Day in a ceremony Sept. 11 at Summerlin Academy.

“Her father never knew her,” he said of Morgan Kay Beamer.
