Drug raid nets two arrests
PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics detectives raided a Port Charlotte home today at 7:30 a.m. and found 136 grams of marijuana. Two arrests were made. Following an investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for a home in the 600 block of Fern Drive and made entry. Inside were Randall S. Mirasolo, 24, and 24 year old Brian J. Evans. In the search of Mirasolo’s bathroom adjoining his bedroom, detectives found a bucket with five glass jars containing marijuana, paraphernalia and $1,775 cash. A 9mm handgun was also located on his bedroom night stand. A search of Evans’ bedroom found a plastic container with one gram of marijuana. Mirasolo told detectives he puts the marijuana in glass jars to keep the smell down. He also said Evans had nothing to do with the marijuana he sells.
Mirasolo was arrested and charged with multiple drug violations. He was taken to the Charlotte County Jail, where he remains on no bond. Evans was arrested but not taken to jail (noncustodial arrest). He was given a notice to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana.
