County continues waiver of impact fees to lure development
DeSOTO COUNTY — At their last meeting of the year, the Board of County Commissioners gave the county a Christmas present, hoping to stimulate the construction industry by waiving the imposition and collection of impact fees for the fourth year in a row.
The board proposed to extend the waiver for both county and school board impact fees. But, according to County Attorney Donald Conn, the school board has yet to act on extending the waiver for school fees, so Conn suggested postponing the school’s extension until the school board considers that.
