Area artists have until Saturday to enter the annual DeSoto Arts and Humanities Council’s Sixth Annual Juried Art Show, which will open with a wine and cheese reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 10 at the Martin Art Gallery at Florida Outdoor Properties, 207 E. Magnolia St. The show is open to any artists; there is no fee for DAHC members, and a $15 fee for nonmembers, and up to three items can be entered.

Pieces can be two- or three-dimensional up to 100 pounds. Paintings, sculptures, photography and other artistic creations are welcome.
