Brinson to serve as First Baptist pastor

Dr. Jay Bronson of Lakeland has been voted to be the new Interim Pastor for First Baptist Church Arcadia. He will minister to the needs of the congregation as the Search Committee continues to seek a permanent pastor. Dr. Brinson's extensive experience in pastoring, consulting, missions and evangelism will serve the church membership well during his tenure.

Dr. Jay Brinson of Lakeland has been elected the Interim Pastor at First Baptist Church Arcadia. Brinson earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible, a master’s in communications and is currently pursuing a doctorate in leadership at Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport.
Brinson also received an honorary doctorate in humanities, and one in divinity at Tri-State Baptist College in Memphis. He also attended the Thom Rainer School of Church Consulting in Louisville, where he was a member of the Society for Church Consulting.
