William F. Anderson

William F. “Bill” Anderson, 93, formerly of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Raulerson Hospital.

He was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Tampa, Fla.

Bill grew up in Arcadia, and relocated to Okeechobee, Fla., in 1985. After retiring from commercial construction, he enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Melanie Anderson of Buckhead Ridge, Fla.; daughters, Donna Walker and Joyce (John) Kaylor of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, Erin (Bill) Taylor and Kelley (Pete) DiMartino of Arizona. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas M. Anderson and Grace Adams; sister, Vivian; and brother, Thomas V. Anderson.

At his request, no service will be held. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia. If friends wish, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 865 S.E. Monterey Commons Blvd., Stuart, FL 34996. Friends may send online condolences to www.buxtonseawinds.com.
