Harry Clayton McDonald, 84, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012.

He was born June 9, 1928, in Plant City, Fla.

Harry moved to Arcadia, Fla., 23 years, ago from Marco Island, Fla. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his family. Clayton was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mae McDonald; children, Karen Prince, Goshen, Ala., Harry McDonald Jr. of Plant City, Sissy Perry of Clewiston, Fla., and Jimmy Polk Jr. of Mulberry, Fla.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Frieda Story of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mary Ann Middlebrooks, and Carol Jensen both of Plant City; and a host of nieces; nephews; and other family and friends. Clayton is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd J. and Hilma Johnson McDonald; and brothers, Harold and Jerry McDonald.

Visitation will be conducted from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, from Arcadia First Baptist Church of Arcadia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the Arcadia First Baptist Church with Chaplain (Maj) Daniel Middlebrooks officiating. Burial will follow at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
