Douglas William Hutson, 70, of Zolfo Springs, Fla., passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Fla.

Mr. Hutson was born in Sparta, Wis., April 1, 1942, and came to Hardee County, Fla., from Michigan in 1992.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and had been employed as a facilities manager with Edward Lowe Industries.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hutson of Zolfo Springs; son, Steve Hutson of Marcellus, Mich.; daughter, Melanie Bowers of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother; sister; and parents.

Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1040 Woodcock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, FL 32803.
