DESOTO COUNTY — An argument over headphones led to one man suffering life-threatening injuries while another is being held on $500,000 bond on a charge of attempted murder.

According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, late Sunday night Heriberto Resendiz, 28, of the 2400 block of N.E. Snow Ave., Arcadia, and his roommate were outside their trailer after drinking heavily all evening. Resendiz saw the roommate listening to music with his headphones, and he told him to take them off. When the roommate refused, Resendiz grabbed the headphones. As the victim struggled to recover them, the two began fighting.
