With a scoreless first half, DeSoto County varsity soccer coach Tracy Hay put a little fire in her team with her halftime talk. “You’re looking lazy now. You have no intensity. We start out strong and when things don’t go our way what do we do? We hang our heads! I’ve got about five guys who really want it and the rest of you look like you don’t care! We’re not going to win if we don’t all want to play!”

The Bulldogs came out in the second half at Port Charlotte with a new attitude and more intensity. They improved their transition game and played like a team that wanted to win.
