DeSoto County Senior Austin Cole shows the kind of team work the Bulldogs have. Cole takes on two blockers on a kickoff so another teammate is able to make the tackle. Without unselfish players like this, a team just won’t work well together.

Bulldog KaReece Richardson had another outstanding game as he led the team in pass receptions and yardage. On defense the senior also recovered a fumble to stop a Berkeley drive. His 58 yard touchdown interception was the only scoring in the second half.

The DeSoto County’s 27-19 win over Berkeley Prep last Friday night wasn’t the biggest win in the rich football history at DeSoto County High School, but you couldn’t convince the seniors on the field that it wasn’t important.

The seniors wanted to go out with a win, especially in front of the home town crowd. They wanted to remember the last game of their DCHS career as a happy one. Many players had played together since their early days in youth football in the DCYAA program and wanted to go out as winners.
