DeSoto County’s Itzel Soto (left) and Guilliani Gomez try to block a pass to Sarah Stuckey of Lemon Bay in second half action. It also looks like Soto is trying to kick her teammate with Stuckey getting between them. It was Stuckey’s goal that was the game-winner in the 2-0 season-ending loss for the Bulldogs.

The DeSoto County JV girls soccer team lost their final game of the season at Lemon Bay 2-0. It wasn’t so bad when you consider that the last game before the Christmas break the Bulldogs lost to the same team 6-0.

In the earlier game the Mantas’ Caitlin Montgomery scored all six goals, but the second time around keeper Yasmin Salazar kept her scoreless. Only a goal midway through the first half and another just two minutes before the end of the first half were all the Bulldogs gave up.
