As you watched both teams warm up before the game you felt the Lake Placid Boys held a slight advantage being the taller team. Yet, DeSoto had beaten Lake Placid in their gym back in December so you knew you were probably going to be watching a tight ball game.
Tight game it was as Lake Placid outscored DeSoto to upend the panthers 18-17. Both teams missed several opportunities to score throughout the game. Lake Placid missed several offensive rebound put-backs, and DeSoto missed several penetrating drive and dishes for short shots.
