PORT CHARLOTTE — Brennan Norus burst through a hole on the left side of the Port Charlotte line, pivoted and rushed past a couple of DeSoto County defenders toward Pirates Cove’s south end zone.

The Pirates sideline whooped, as did the stands behind them.
