On Sept. 3 the DeSoto County junior varsity volleyball team went to Port Charlotte and dropped a close 2-1 match to the Pirates. A month later the Pirates came to Arcadia and were swept by the much improved Bulldogs squad.
“They have improved a lot since we last played them,” Port Charlotte coach Brittany Muse said. “They dug everything we hit to them and did a nice job of passing.”
