SARASOTA COUNTY — The results of the proposed Sarasota County Charter Amendment may not be known until the end of this week.

Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announced a manual recount of the over- and undervotes will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday. State law mandates such a manual recount if the second unofficial set of returns indicates a ballot measure “was approved or rejected by one-quarter of a percent or less of the votes cast.”
