PUNTA GORDA — A local man accused of attempted second-degree murder in connection with a 2011 stabbing was found not guilty of the crime by a jury Thursday at the Charlotte County Justice Center.
The jury took just over two hours to reach its verdict, and the suspect, Roy Lee Poore, 35, was all smiles after the verdict was read into the record by the court clerk. Twentieth Judicial Circuit Judge Christine Greider released Poore from custody following the jury’s decision.
