Crispin Main, a sixth-grader at L.A. Ainger Middle School in Rotonda West, helped a girl who was being bullied by her fellow students because she wears a hearing aid and is permanently scarred due to heart surgery.

On Thursday, Crispin, along with four other Charlotte County students, was recognized for his “quick thinking and concern for others” by the Punta Gorda Police Department.
