Sarasota County elected officials were sworn into office at Tuesday’s County Commission meeting in Sarasota. Officials sworn in — many for another term — by Andrew Owens, chief judge for the 12th Judicial Circuit, right, included Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller Karen Rushing, Tax Collector Barbara Ford-Coates, Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent, Property Appraiser William Furst, State Attorney for the 12th Circuit Ed Brodsky, Sheriff Tom Knight and Public Defender Larry Eger.
