David R. Whitehead

David R. Whitehead, 82, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.

He was born in Chateaugay, N.Y., Feb. 18, 1930, and was the son of Roy and Ada Whitehead.

David served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and retired as an Air Traffic Controller Supervisor with the Federal Aviation Administration. He was under the care of NorPace.

David is survived by his companion, Anna A. McClelland, and her daughter, Charizze; son, David H.R. (Debbie) Whitehead of Windsor, Calif.; daughter, Kensington B. (Lanny) Tobe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Everett) Johnston of Burke, N.Y., and Jane Aubrey of Burke and Englewood; brother, Capt. J.B. (Lois) Whitehead; several nieces and nephews; and special relatives, Debbie (Paul) Petrie of Gloversville, N.Y.

Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla. There will be no calling hours of memorial services.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, Fla.
