Norman Harry Hansen

Norman Harry Hansen, 71, of Englewood, Fla., lost his fight with cancer Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.

He was born May 28, 1941, in Chicago, Ill.

Norman was a sales representative for Steiner Electric prior to his retirement in 2005, when he moved to Englewood from Wildwood, Ill. He was an avid golfer.

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Astrid of Englewood; son, Erik T. Hansen of Batavia, Ill.; daughters, Kari Andersen of Norway, and Kirsten Hansen-Pott of Batavia; grandsons, Torstein, Toby and Liam; sister, Joyce Knutsen of Warrenville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

No service will be held, as per Norm’s request. Memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238. You may share a memory with the family at www.englewoodfh.com.

Arrangements are by Englewood Community Funeral Home, with Private Crematory.
