Karen Marie Doolittle, 72, of Nokomis, Fla., formerly of Illinois, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.

She was born June 29, 1940, to James H. and Gwendolyn M. (nee Webb) Smith in Princeton, Ill.

Karen was a loving wife and a stay-at-home mom.

She is survived by her husband, David of Nokomis; daughter, Deborah Jones of North Port, Fla.; and son, Scott Doolittle of Port Charlotte, Fla.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Peace Christian Fellowship in North Port. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc. 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
