John F. “Jack” Hann, 73, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, from complications after surgery.

He was born Feb. 25, 1939, in Watertown, Mass., the youngest son of Louis J. and Catherine (nee McManus) Hann.

John graduated from Watertown High School and went on to become a licensed electrician. He was a proud member of the IUEC, International Union of Electrical Contractors, Local 4 of out Boston, Mass. John worked for Beckwith Elevator Company for 32 years, before retiring in 1992, and moving to Florida. Prior to moving to Florida, he resided for many years, in Nashua, N.H. and Gilford, N.H. Jack was a great cook, and a generous host. His baked macaroni and clam chowder was a crowd favorite. John’s jokes and stories could get everyone laughing. If Jack was there, it was going to be a good time. He was a loyal friend and the first one to show up if you needed help. His mark on construction projects and renovations can be seen up and down the east coast. He was proud of his Irish heritage, enjoyed traveling, boating, and spending time with friends and family. Jack will be tremendously missed by the countless friends he made from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Florida. His friends and family knew how special he was and the sudden loss has devastated everyone.

John leaves behind his devoted wife, Ellen Stuke-Hann of Englewood, Fla.; first wife, Carol A. Hann of Concord, N.H.; son, Stephen P. Hann; daughter-in-law, Cindy G. Hann; and grandson, Eric J. Hann all of Merrimack, N.H. He is preceded in death by his brother, L. Paul Hann of Nashua.
