Michael P. Diaguila, 92, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

He was born Aug. 16, 1920, in Chicago, Ill.

Michael served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from sales in retail merchandise, and moved to Florida in 1990 from Atlanta, Ga.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Helen; children, Michele Russ and Paul (Esther) Diaguila, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; brother, Joe (Irene) Diaguila of Missouri; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, Fla.
